Promotion of Socioeconomic Development and Encouragement of Entrepreneurship by Developing Cross - border R&D and Innovation Network in Cloud Computing Area No "LLB - 2 - 142."
The concept:
The project aims to enhance cross-border IT R&D and Innovation networks among Vilnius, Grodno and Minsk science institutions in order to develop and strengthen their linkage to IT enterprises. The project partners intend to achieve this by designing innovative cross-border CC cluster uniting Lithuania and Belarus and based on the latest CC technologies.
Project partners:
Vilnius University is one of the oldest and most famous establishments of higher education in Eastern and Central Europe. The project is implemented by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, which is one of the twelve faculties of Vilnius University.
Lithuanian Innovation and Technology Institute is a modern science and research center promoting knowledge economy and development of creative society as well as application of the latest technologies in science and business in Lithuania.
Yanka Kupala State university of Grodno is one of the largest regional university complexes in the Republic of Belarus.
Scientific Technological Association INFOPARK is the largest private voluntary union of software developing companies in the Republic of Belarus.
The objectives
To enhance the cross-border IT R&D/innovation networks in order to develop and strengthen their linkage to enterprises, promotion and exchange of know-how between LT and BY academia and experts, with a special focus on the latest CC technologies. The cross-border cooperation will encourage common future actions and entrepreneur networks, which will lead to formation of CC cross-border cluster.
Target groups
• Lecturers specializing in development of CC technologies;
• Highly-skilled programmers from LT & BY, specializing in development of cloud technologies;
• Programmers from the region who work with CC & need to improve their knowledge of the public/private clouds for programmers;
• Companies dealing with/developing CC technologies, possessing information about the needs of customers & market trends & interested in development of the sector.
